Chicago, Ill. The Thunder track and field teams competed at University of Chicago's Windy City Rumble indoor track & field meet on Saturday. The Wheaton men's program finished third in the 10-team field and Wheaton's women placed third out of 11 teams. Additionally, Thunder student-athletes traveled to Illinois Wesleyan's Keck Invitational for competition in the heptathlon and pentathlon, where freshman Leif VanGrinsven scored 4,344 points in the men's heptathlon to nearly establish a new school record in the event. Nicole Kitchen recorded 2,621 points in the women's pentathlon to finish fifth in the 13-woman field.
