Rock Island, Ill. The Thunder cross country teams competed at the 2017 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday at Rock Island's Saukie Golf Course. The Thunder women's program finished fourth in the 37-team field. Wheaton's top-five finish assures the program a spot at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships next Saturday in Elsah, Illinois. The NCAA will officially announce participants for Nationals tomorrow. Next week's trip to the Division III Championships will be Wheaton's first since 2014.
